When a new ACR version is released Adobe also releases a new version of Adobe DNG Converter with the same release number. The latest version of ACR is presently 8.3 and your version of Photoshop CS4 has ACR 5.x. Once converted to dng, acr is able to load and read them. The lastest DNG converter from Adobe will solve this problem as it capable of reading the files of your new camera.
